It's not for everyone, that's for sure. I can't exactly pinpoint why I loved it, but I was fascinated by the way our perception of the characters changed throughout the film. That ending was a bit strange, though. I still can't decide if it works or not.

3. For a film I wasn't exactly crazy about (outside of Kristen Stewart, obviously), it sure did get a lot of accolades from me. It captured that era so well without being camp or ridiculous. Certainly one of the best looking films of the year.

4. I realize this. That's why I strayed away from using "Original" in the category title. I never know what's original or not. I just pick the scores I liked, irregardless.

5. I like "Show Me How You Burlesque" but if I had to pick a Floptina number from that movie, I'd go with "I Am a Good Girl". Any clue if that was written for the film? I could have easily given Burlesque three nominations but I felt that was really excessive for a film I thought was a steaming pile of dung, Cher & Cam aside.Dame Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02684030137746709310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1435448003077731913.post-65673320503259714442011-07-04T04:44:23.394-04:002011-07-04T04:44:23.394-04:00Firstly, never too late.

Ugh, those costumes were just... *melts*

Fourthly, John Adams' score isn't original. It's fantastic music though.

Fifthly, the only other original song from 2011 that comes close to "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" is "Show Me How You Burlesque".
