Is it too late to swap out Robert Pattinson for Gaspard Ulliel? Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight needs an actor and not just another pretty face.I just got back from the midnight showing (my first ever!) and I'm exhausted, so I'll post more thoughts later on.

ReplyDeleteBut it's also a movie and Edward needs someone who can act and not just stand there giving dumb looks and horrible line readings. In someone else version of Twilight, Pattinson may have been okay, but Hardwicke relies on close ups and extreme close ups too often for him to do anything interesting.
ReplyDeleteOh Gaspard! I've been a little in love with him since A Very Long Engagement. That movie would break Smeyer is an idiot for saying she didn't think Gaspard could do the role (pronouncing his name JasPerd) But she's a shallow evil woman! Go Gaspard!
ReplyDeleteStephenie Meyer is a complete moron and seriously needs to get over herself. Between dissing Gaspard (which should be a crime in itself), claiming that Robert Pattinson should win an Oscar for Twilight (rofl!) and that whole controversy over Midnight Sun (or whatever that Edward POV version of Twilight is called) she just makes herself look stupider.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Robert Pattinson was bad... Not because of him, because Stephanie Meyer IS A BAD WRITER. The movie was AWFUl because the book was AWFUL too... Her books are DUMBERS, with STUPID dialogs and ONE DIMENSIONAL characters who I didn't think wich actors could stand that kind of roles.

I've pretty much been called a pedophile for not liking the Pattinson creature, but I would totally support any Gaspard as Edward movement. Because Gaspard commands the screen and as far as I can tell, Robert Pattinson does not.
