Okay, so the poster isn't that great, but I am still super excited for the film version of the musical Hairspray. I recently saw it on the stage and quickly fell in love with it. How can you not with a soundtrack that has such fantastic songs like "You Can't Stop the Beat," "Welcome to the 60's," and "Good Morning, Baltimore." Plus, look at that stellar cast- Queen Latifah as Motormouth Maybelle, Michelle Pfeiffer as Velma Von Tussle, John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, Amanda Bynes as Penny, Christopher Walken as Wilbur... As you can see, I could go on for days and days about these fantastic actors. Let's hope director Adam Shankman doesn't completely butcher this and that newcomer Nicole Blonsky is great in the lead role of Tracy!
